About the Role
This role is perfect for an attorney who enjoys client interaction, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is passionate about helping families and individuals navigate complex immigration matters.
Responsibilities- Conduct initial client consultations (in-person and virtual)
- Provide clear, compassionate, and accurate legal guidance
- Screen cases for potential immigration relief, including:
- Family-based petitions
- Waivers
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
- Prepare detailed consultation notes and legal recommendations
- Stay up to date on immigration law and policy changes
- Assist with training and mentoring paralegals or law clerks, as needed
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state (Florida license preferred, not required)
- 1–2+ years of immigration law experience (consultations or casework)
- Strong understanding of USCIS, EOIR, and federal court processes
- Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English (Spanish proficiency required)
- Compassionate, patient, and culturally sensitive
- Highly organized with strong time-management skills
- One Paid Friday off every month
