Associate Attorney

Overview

Join to apply for the Associate Attorney role at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB). This is a full-time opportunity to join a national law firm with a diverse, high-profile caseload in General Liability litigation.

• Your Role: Litigation Attorney – General Liability. Manage and litigate high-exposure cases, providing strategic defense for national and regional clients.
• Case Strategy & Litigation Management: Handle case development, strategy, and defense for trucking and auto liability matters.
• Courtroom & Mediation Advocacy: Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials in state and federal courts.
• Legal Research & Writing: Draft motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and legal memoranda to support case strategies.
• Discovery & Evidence Preparation: Conduct witness depositions, manage discovery, and coordinate with expert witnesses.
• Coverage & Risk Assessment: Analyze insurance coverage terms and litigate related disputes (experience beneficial).

  Advise clients on litigation risks and case strategy while maintaining strong client relationships.

• Experience
  : 3-6 years of litigation experience with a focus on general liability. Prior federal court litigation experience is highly preferred. Insurance coverage experience is a plus.
• Legal Knowledge &
  
  Skills:
  
  Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities; strong oral and written advocacy; experience in motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Education & Licensure: Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in Florida and in good standing. Federal court admission (or eligibility) preferred.
• Technology & Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), Westlaw, and time-billing software.
