Email Lead – Summary

The Email Lead is responsible for planning, creating, and optimizing email marketing campaigns that deliver engaging, effective communication to audiences. This role collaborates with cross?functional teams to improve email strategy, visual design, personalization, and overall performance. The ideal candidate is technically minded, highly organized, and skilled in building simple yet impactful email content.

Key Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience.
Experience
  • 3+ years in email marketing or closely related roles.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Hands?on experience with email marketing platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred; experience with Responsys, Silverpop, Message Gears, Send Grid is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of HTML/CSS for email, responsive design, and mobile-first email development.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Adobe Analytics.
  • Experience with third?party tools like Litmus, Spark Post, or Movable Ink.
  • Knowledge of personalization languages (e.g., AmpScript) and basic SQL understanding (helpful but not required).
  • Awareness of compliance regulations including CAN?

    SPAM and GDPR.
  • Experience with project management tools (Jira preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast?paced environment and deliver on tight deadlines.

    Plan, build, deploy, and optimize end?to?end email campaigns.

  • Calendar & Stakeholder Coordination (15%)
    Align on an email calendar with marketing partners and manage related workflows.

  • Testing & Insights (15%)
    Run A/B tests, analyze campaign performance, and share findings with teams.

  • Technical Innovation (15%)
    Work with technical email teams to improve processes, personalization, and email capabilities.

  • Reporting & Presentation (10%)
    Create presentations highlighting performance wins, trends, and learnings for leadership.
