Dev Ops Team Lead (Must Work EST Hours)

Our company is growing rapidly, and our investment in scalable platforms and strong operational foundations is essential to support that growth. We are seeking a Dev Ops Team Lead who can both manage and technically guide a high-performing Dev Ops engineering team. In this role, you will focus on platform health, developer enablement, stability of development/production environments, CI/CD pipeline advancement, and operational efficiency through automation.

Due to the operational nature of the position, some off-hours on-call support is required
, with strong consideration given to maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

• Lead and guide a Dev Ops engineering team in delivering reliable, scalable infrastructure and automation solutions.
• Focus on platform health, developer enablement, and stability of development and production environments.
• Advance CI/CD pipelines and improve operational efficiency through automation.
• Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, security, and development groups to drive CI/CD and operational strategy.
• Treat automation as a craft, not just a task, and create CI/CD environments with reliable, low-friction delivery paths for developers.
• Build comprehensive telemetry and monitoring for application environments.
• Drive progress toward continuous delivery and shape the future of operational automation.

• 5+ years leading a Dev Ops team, providing both managerial and hands-on technical leadership
• 10+ years as a Dev Ops engineer with a professional software development background
• Experience with environments handling sensitive data (e.g., PHI, PII) and navigating strict access controls in partnership with security teams
• Demonstrated thought leadership in Dev Ops best practices, automation strategies, and software delivery processes
• Strong experience building containerized solutions for applications and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to support on-call escalation and occasionally work a shifted schedule for cross-time-zone support
• Proven ability to troubleshoot platform and application issues, including root-cause analysis and post-mortems
• Flexibility to plan daily team tasking while coordinating larger cross-team Dev Ops initiatives
• Must work EST hours

• Android CI/CD experience is a plus (Gradle, Maven)

• Source Control
  :
  Git Hub Enterprise, Git, Azure Dev Ops, TFS

• Package Management
  : yarn, npm, NuGet Server, Git Hub Packages, Azure Artifacts

• Infrastructure & Configuration
  :
  IaC tools such as Terraform;
  Configuration management best practices

• Automation & Scripting
  :
  Power Shell, Python, Java Script

• Monitoring & Observability
  :
  Telemetry platforms, dashboards, reporting, alerting

• Agile Collaboration
  :
  Ability to work closely with architecture, security, infra, and development teams within Agile processes

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. Where required by local law, salary range is disclosed in the posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
