Job Title: Airline Security Manager (AOSC)
Reports To: Chief Development Officer
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Airline Security Manager to lead our security program and serve as the company’s designated Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator (AOSC). Operating under both the Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program (AOSSP) and the Twelve-Five Standard Security Program (TFSSP), you will ensure total regulatory compliance while leveraging technology to elevate security performance. The ideal candidate combines deep TSA know-how with a passion for data-driven, tech-forward solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- AOSC & Program Compliance – Execute all TSA-mandated AOSC duties and maintain inspection-ready AOSSP and TFSSP manuals, amendments, and contingency plans.
- Regulatory Liaison – Act as primary contact with TSA, DHS, CBP, airport authorities, and law-enforcement agencies; coordinate inspections, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Technology Enablement – Champion modern security technologies to improve detection, reporting, and compliance tracking.
- Training & Records – Develop, deliver, and document recurrent security training for crew members, station agents, and vendors; ensure 100 % record accuracy.
- Risk Assessment & Audits – Conduct vulnerability assessments, threat analyses, and station audits; implement targeted mitigations aligned with industry best practices.
- Incident Response – Lead security investigations and after-action reviews, maintaining 24/7 readiness and coordinating emergency drills and tabletop exercises.
- Continuous Improvement – Track emerging threats, TSA Security Directives, and tech trends; propose enhancements that strengthen our security posture and streamline compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of airline or airport security management, including 2+ years as an AOSC or Alternate AOSC for a U.S. Part 121/135 carrier.
- Direct experience administering AOSSP and/or TFSSP programs.
- Expert knowledge of 49 CFR § 1544, and TSA Security Directives.
- Proven success interfacing with TSA inspectors and airport security coordinators.
- Demonstrated proficiency with security technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for crafting SOPs, reports, and executive briefings.
- Ability to obtain/maintain TSA SIDA badge and pass 10-year CHRC and drug screening.
- On-site position at our Orlando headquarters with up to 25 % travel to domestic stations.
- Core schedule is Monday–Friday; however, 24/7 on-call availability is required for security emergencies.
