Software Engineer (Service Now) – Corporate Technology Group

We are seeking a contract Software Engineer to join a major corporation in Orlando, FL. The role requires 4 days per week on-site with Fridays remote.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the configuration, development, and customization of the Service Now platform across various modules (e.g., ITSM).
  • Develop and maintain Service Catalog Items, Record Producers, and Order Guides, including variable sets, catalog client scripts, and UI policies.
  • Design and implement process automation using Flow Designer and/or Workflow Studio, including creating flows, subflows, and custom actions.
  • Write, test, and maintain scripts (e.g., Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts) using JavaScript.
  • Participate in unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide high-level estimates, and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for all custom development and configuration.
  • Provide support for existing applications, identifying incidents and implementing timely remediation.
Basic Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of professional development experience on the Service Now platform.
  • Experience creating and managing all components of the Service Catalog.
  • Proficiency in building, testing, and debugging process automation using Flow Designer.
  • JavaScript proficiency for writing, debugging, and optimizing platform scripts.
  • Familiarity with standard web technologies and integration via REST/SOAP web services.
  • Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with other Service Now modules (HRSD, CSM, Security Operations).
  • Familiarity with source control tools such as Git.
  • Understanding of ITIL framework principles.
  • Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • Micro certifications:
    Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Service Portal.
Required Education

BS in STEM field.
