We have an exciting opportunity for a highly self-motivated, collaborative individual to fill the position of HR Generalist
.
The Human Resources Generalist position reports to the Vice President/Director of Human Resources. This position will engage directly with employees and leaders, establish trust as a credible HR point of contact delivering consistent, accurate and timely outcomes. The HR Generalist will support the employee relations function, employee services and administration. Additionally, this position will be assigned to other projects or tasks in alignment with the company s Human Resources strategy.
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and the law.
- Reviews and processes action requests for complete and accurate information, data entry in HRIS (UKG Pro), updates data on trackers and maintains files as required to complete accurate and timely data management and updates.
- Creates, compiles, audits, and maintains employee records and transactions to include but not limited to records and file management, HRIS data entry and uploads, tracking the completion of policy acknowledgements & training.
- Assist employee group with general questions about policies, procedures, and administrative processes.
- Supports hiring managers in deploying onboarding and offboarding processes according to the company s policy and procedure.
- Prepares various memos and letters pertaining to job and status changes, FMLA, ADA, Adverse Action and E-Verify administration.
- Research and respond to unemployment claim requests for information, Department of Labor audit reports, and other information requests as necessary.
- Conduct first level intake meetings for requests for ADA, FMLA and USERRA accommodation and other leave inquiries.
- May be required to gather records, data and other information in a supporting role on investigations and/or other matters as they arise.
- Collaborate with HR team members efficiently, ensuring consistency and transparency within the department.
- Other duties and projects to meet organizational effectiveness as assigned.
- Bachelor s degree preferred.
- 2 - 4 years of Human Resources experience required.
- Previous experience in the military or defense industry is highly desired.
- Skillfully gathers and analyzes information, operates intuitively with sound critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Skilled in utilizing MS Office products to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint required. Able to develop spreadsheets, mail merge communications, presentations, fliers, forms, and documentation for other HR functions.
- Knowledge of Adobe Reader to create fillable forms, templates, convert and update documents preferred.
- Must have high initiative, integrity, strong work ethic, strong verbal and written communication.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines and adjust to shifting demands.
- Must be able to work full time on-site in the office.
- Availability for occasional travel preferred.
