Ideal candidate will play a vital role on the Banquets Team by ensuring all meetings and events are correctly set-up to guarantee a memorable experience for Members, families, and guests.
Responsibilities- Set –up clean and maintain all conference facilities to maximize guest satisfaction in the required timeframe.
- Ensure that all banquet storage rooms are kept in a clean and organized manner at all times.
- To ensure that all banquet equipment is stored in its respective place.
- When transporting banquet equipment ensure that the equipment is kept free from any damage including all walls and doors.
- Be familiar with all the various banquet room set-ups and the respective time that it takes to convert a room from one set-up to another.
- Should be able to set room without supervision (Theater, rounds, Buffets, classroom, Etc.).
- Set up and tear down conference rooms
- Ensure that you have a full understanding of the various methods of “dressing” a room including but not limited to various napkin folds.
- Must know how to skirt tables arrange chairs position tables quickly and efficiently
- Be familiar with how to refresh a room and assist banquet service staff on serving banquets.
- Previous Banquet Set-up/Houseperson experience (6 months, preferred)
- May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- The position requires mobility. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, kneel, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be fluent in the English language
