OverviewThe Housekeeping Room Inspector conducts inspections and maximizes the efforts of the entire department to ensure compliance with all standards of guest satisfaction, cleanliness, sanitation, and productivity and efficiency set by the Hotel. The Room Inspector’s position ultimately ensures that guests enter a room/suite that is clean, sanitary and welcoming. Each Inspector plays a vital housekeeping role in ensuring all guests experience the natural beauty, comfort and custom hand‑finished details that our guest rooms offer.
They work with business/department leadership and team members to ensure the effectiveness and overall success of the department.

- Work all scheduled shifts.
- Safekeep guests’ personal property with integrity and honesty.
- Perform unit inspections, ensuring all meet cleanliness, sanitation and maintenance standards before guest occupancy.
- Make small corrections as needed to bring units to required standards.
- Update the housekeeping coordinator when units are clean and ready for guest occupancy.
- Document and notify housekeeping coordination of any engineering concerns and enter into Alice if applicable.
- Notify housekeeping leadership of any severe cleaning deficiencies.
- Assist with associate training as needed.
- General cleaning tasks may be assigned during peak occupancy days.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior housekeeping experience in rooms preferred.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Accurate following of verbal and written instructions.
- Guest-facing communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
