The Housekeeper is responsible for providing a clean, sanitary, comfortable, orderly and enjoyable environment for patients, visitors and employees. The Housekeeper promotes sanitary conditions that prevent the spread of infections and odors. The Housekeeper may be required to perform tasks involving exposure to visible blood contamination or reasonably anticipated blood contamination. The Housekeeper must follow procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing of, or moving objects/materials and for clean‑up of blood, infectious materials or body fluids in accordance with OSHA Blood‑borne Pathogen Standards.

The Director of Plant Operations supervises housekeeping.

• Operate mechanical equipment used in the laundry and housekeeping department.
• Read, write and follow material instructions.
• Lift, carry, walk, stand, stoop, push, pull and climb for periods up to eight (8) hours. Move continuously during working hours and lift and carry 20–25 pounds.
• Perform tasks that comply with OSHA Blood‑borne Pathogen Standards.

• Pass Level 2 Background Investigation.
• High school education or GED preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year in healthcare environment preferred.
• Mechanical equipment operation and material instruction compliance experience.
• Physical capability to lift and carry 20–25 pounds and perform continuous housekeeper tasks for eight (8) hours.
