Orlando Health Physician Associates is one of the largest primary care provider groups in Central Florida. The network includes more than 225 providers across family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and podiatry, delivering care to patients of all ages. Our physicians coordinate care throughout Orlando Health’s integrated system, offering same‑day, next‑day, and virtual appointments at convenient locations across the region.
As part of the Orlando Health system, the Clinical Assist will train in structured clinical assessments, documentation, population health workflow and team‑based care in an ambulatory or inpatient setting to facilitate efficient and effective patient care.

Hours:
Monday‑Friday, 7:45 am‑5:00 pm.
- Gathers data through patient or caregiver interviews and direct or indirect observation of clinical team members.
- Documents clinical data, assessments, procedures, and patient education per Orleans Health and departmental policies.
- Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures as they are performed by the physician or APP.
- Acts as a liaison to schedule or provide information for specialty testing or consultation.
- Prepare charts for upcoming appointments, ensuring completeness before patient arrival.
- Processes incoming and outgoing calls professionally, exercising sound clinical judgment.
- Participates in departmental committees and special projects as assigned.
- Demonstrates competency in tasks and skills defined by the practice.
- Engages in quality initiatives and clinical outcome improvement activities.
- Supports and demonstrates effective communication with patients and families.
- Adheres to Orlando Health policy, procedures, and commitment to excellence.
- Demonstrates personal and patient safety practices and adheres to infection control standards.
- Maintains regular, punctual attendance per Orlando Health policies and applicable laws.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills to assess data appropriate to age‑specific patient needs.
- Awareness of medical/legal issues, patient rights, and regulatory compliance.
- Efficiently uses supplies.
- Assists business office with reception, scheduling, and discharge of patients.
Education/Training: High school graduate or equivalent.
Licensure/
Certifications:
Completion of an Orlando Health verified clinical documentation training program or a verified training program within 2 months of hire.
Experience: Minimum one (1) year in a health‑care related position or health‑related education.
