Lead Sterile Processing Technician – Days – Orlando Health Watson Clinic, Lakeland Highlands Hospital – Lakeland, FL
Position Summary:
Opening Summer 2026 at 4000 Lakeland Highlands Road, Lakeland, FL.

Responsibilities:
- Assembles instrument trays for operating rooms and oversees daily operations of all activities that relate to the reprocessing of reusable medical supplies and instrumentation.
- Ensure all team members follow proper operational procedures.
- Assumes responsibility, in collaboration with SPD Supervisor, for scheduling new employee orientation, on‑job training, and in‑service education and facility quality assurance programs as needed.
- Completes some of the documentation required by the facility related to inventory/equipment requests and repairs.
- Maintains a professional relationship with all facility’s departments as needed to ensure effective, efficient support to the patient caregivers.
- Prepares instruments and supplies through cleaning, packing, sterilizing, and storing procedures.
- Performs equipment distribution and routing cleaning and maintenance.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Licensure/Certification:
Certification through HSPA, CRCST, or CBSPD (CSPDT). - Experience:
Two years of experience in a healthcare‑based sterile processing department.
