Position Overview

Wellness Coordinator in the Employee Experience division at OUC – The Reliable One. The role involves supporting wellness program initiatives, communicating with employees, and encouraging healthy behaviors.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support for the design and delivery of wellness programs, initiatives, sessions, and events.
  • Coordinate and schedule wellness activities such as educational sessions, presentations, on‑site biometric testing, and assist in preparing and delivering wellness presentations.
  • Provide resources and tips to employees on health and wellness matters, and collaborate with external providers to perform health screenings and comprehensive wellness assessments.
  • Respond to employee and retiree requests for assistance or information on wellness programs.
  • Support the creation and distribution of employee communications to encourage participation in wellness activities and health screening programs.
  • Assist the Wellness Administrator in monitoring the wellness budget, including tracking vendor/supplier contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support, including progress tracking and documentation for wellness projects.
  • Provide metrics, reporting, and data tracking in support of wellness program needs.
  • Research wellness programs, initiatives, and best practices.
  • Participate in wellness program roadshows, workshops, and forums to support education and enhance employee engagement.
  • Serve in a cross‑functional team to support large initiatives such as the annual benefits open enrollment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Healthcare Management, Business, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent mix of education, certifications, and experience).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting HR programs or initiatives related to benefits or corporate wellness.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communicator and facilitator.
  • Flexible with work hours.
Technical Requirements
  • Working knowledge of benefits and wellness programs, wellness industry trends and practices, general office administration and management principles, project coordination and support methods, metrics and reporting.
  • Familiarity with health risk prevention, laws and regulations related to employer‑sponsored health and wellness programs, budget, vendor, and contract support.
  • Skill in group facilitation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in public, group settings, and team meetings; gather information, reports, and metrics from software systems; perform mathematical calculations involving rates, ratios, and percentages; use Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and standard office equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Salary Range

$22.43‑$28.04 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Working Conditions

This job is performed in an office work environment with no disagreeable conditions.

Physical Requirements

Frequent speaking/hearing, writing/typing, detailed inspection; frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending; occasional climbing, kneeling, reaching overhead, and lifting up to 20 lbs; frequent driving of a company vehicle.
