Little Angeles is a leading PPEC (Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care) facility in Orlando dedicated to providing exceptional medicalday care services for children with special needs. We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our energetic team of therapists and nursing staff.

Position Summary

The Pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) supportslicensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate physical therapy services to medically complex and developmentallydelayed children in a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) setting. ThePTA works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team to promotemobility, strength, functional independence, and overall quality of life for children with chronic conditions, disabilities, and medical fragility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement physical therapy treatment plans as prescribed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Provide one-on-one andgroup therapeutic interventions focusing on gross motor development, balance, mobility, posture, and strength
  • Assist children withneuromuscular, orthopedic, genetic, and developmental conditions
  • Monitor and documentpatient progress, tolerance, and response to therapy interventions in compliance with Medicaid and AHCA standards
  • Maintain accurate,timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and caregivers to ensurecoordinated care
  • Assist with positioning,adaptive equipment use, gait training, and mobility aids
  • Ensure therapy areas and equipment are safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate
  • Educate caregivers andstaff on therapeutic positioning and mobility techniques as directed
  • Travel between PPEClocations as scheduled to meet patient care needs
  • Comply with HIPAA,infection control, safety policies, and PPEC regulations
  • Pediatric medicaldaycare (PPEC) setting
  • Children with chronicillnesses, developmental delays, feeding tubes, mobility devices, and complex medical needs
  • Standing, bending, lifting, and active engagementthroughout the workday
