Open availability for Saturdays and limited Sundays
May work late evenings up to 8:30 PM
The Front Office Assistant supports daily operations for an ambulatory/physician office setting, serving as a key point of contact for patients and families. Responsibilities include patient registration, appointment scheduling, telephone coverage, and referral coordination under the supervision of Practice and Site Leadership.
This role is essential in creating a positive, efficient, and patient‑centered experience across Orlando Health Imaging Centers.
Education & Training- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- None required
- Minimum six (6) months experience in:
- Clerical office or general business setting and/or
- Customer service environment
- Schedules patient appointments in accordance with practice‑specific protocols and patient preferences
- Obtains required pre‑certifications and authorizations when applicable
- Collects and accurately documents patient demographic and insurance information
- Processes medical records requests in accordance with Orlando Health and departmental policies
- Ensures compliance with Orlando Health and OHPE (OHPG, OPN) policies, procedures, and values
- Demonstrates competency using office equipment, electronic systems, and telephone etiquette
- Upholds Commitment to Excellence standards and actively contributes to patient satisfaction
- Interacts with patients and families in a professional, courteous, and compassionate manner
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance in compliance with Orlando Health policies and ADA/FMLA guidelines
- Complies with all organizational policies, procedures, and required education
- Participates in Quality Assurance and Quality Indicator activities as assigned
- Demonstrates awareness of legal requirements, patient rights
, and regulatory/accreditation standards - Practices efficient use of office supplies and resources
- Assists billing services as requested
- Work in a high‑volume, patient‑focused outpatient imaging environment
