South College invites applications for the position of Full time Faculty Member for Surgical Technology. This role will provide didactic, clinical and lab instruction. Courses are offered during the day on campus or at surrounding clinical sites in support of our Orlando Campus. This position will be precepting clinical students in the Melbourne, FL area.
Responsibilities- Provide didactic, clinical, and laboratory instruction in surgical technology.
- Precept and supervise clinical students in assigned sites (Orlando campus area and Melbourne, FL area).
- Deliver courses during the day on campus or at surrounding clinical sites in support of the Orlando Campus.
- A minimum of an earned bachelor’s degree.
- Be a graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency.
- Possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
- Have a minimum total of two years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.
- Strong communication and technology skills.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
