Overview
Position Summary Provides quality patient care when performing diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention while adhering to MRI safety principles.
Location Orlando Regional Medical Center Rad Diagnostics Department delivers high-level diagnostic capabilities and contributes to the community through various initiatives and programs in partnership with Jewett Orthopaedic and Centers for Digestive Health.

Responsibilities Education/Training- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology OR
- Graduate of an accredited school of Sonography OR
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine OR
- Graduate of an approved MRI technologist program through ARMRIT
- Must have one of the following: ARRT certification OR ARDMS certification OR NMTCB certification
- Valid ARRT (MRI) certification or graduation from an ARMRIT‑approved MRI program
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
- Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license (Preferred)
- Minimum of two (2) years MRI experience, plus experience in one or more of the following:
Advanced imaging (3D Lab, IR procedural imaging, Breast imaging, Cardiac imaging); site proctor/preceptor for onboarding or cross‑training; dual imaging roles with current proficiency and routine performance in a secondary modality
- Performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy and/or physiology for interpretation and/or intervention
- Exercises professional judgment and maintains a demeanor supportive of high‑quality patient care
- Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions to ensure successful completion of procedures
- Complies with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality
- Adheres to Orlando Health mission statements and strategic imperatives
- Assesses the patient’s physical condition and age‑specific needs
- Provides instructions that promote patient cooperation and optimal results
- Performs proper patient identification, acquires clinical history, and ensures accurate documentation
- Positions the patient and equipment correctly and adjusts technical factors to achieve high‑quality images
- Evaluates diagnostic images for technical accuracy, annotation, and proper patient identification
- Applies MRI safety principles for patients, self, and others
- Comprehends and complies with Quality Control standards and participates in QC tasks
