Full‑time (40 hours per week).
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 5:00.
Title:
Ancillary Scheduling, Registration & Patient Charge Specialist. Address of Practice:
Floating between Ocoee and Downtown Orlando. This position provides scheduling, registration and patient charge services to ancillary departments.

- Effective pre‑registration, registration and scheduling of multiple patient appointments.
- Manage additions and cancellations of patient appointments.
- Gather and input patient/guarantor demographic and financial information accurately in appropriate hospital systems.
- Contact payers/provider offices to verify benefits and obtain/document authorizations.
- Review schedules daily and communicate all changes to appropriate staff.
- Enter patient charges.
- Act as a liaison between provider and patient to explain insurance benefits, co‑pays, deductibles, and self‑pay portions.
- Communicate procedure‑pertinent information (arrival time, location, duration) to patients.
- Perform check‑in and check‑out of patients.
- Serve as a liaison to clinical and business staff to ensure effective patient management, including transfer of patients from outside and sister facilities.
- Provide training or mentoring for new team members.
- Maintain flexibility in work schedule availability to meet departmental needs and on‑call responsibilities.
- Attend department staff meetings and other assigned meetings.
- Represent the department in committees as requested by supervisor/manager.
- Review and adhere to corporate departmental and education initiatives.
- Assist supervisor/manager in planning and organizing department activities.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with Orlando Health policies and applicable federal, state and local standards.
- Ensure compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Education/Training: High‑school education or equivalent with demonstrated reading, verbal and written communication, mathematical and reasoning skills.
- Licensure/Certification: None required.
- Experience: Two (2) years’ experience in a financial, business office or customer‑service environment; computer knowledge required.
