Position SummaryThe MRI Technologist is responsible for delivering high‑quality diagnostic imaging using magnetic resonance technology while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adherence to MRI safety principles, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
You will play a key part in producing accurate, high‑quality images that support diagnosis and care across a wide range of patient populations.

Completion of one of the following is required:
- Accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Accredited Sonography program
- Accredited Nuclear Medicine program
- Approved MRI technologist program (ARMRIT)
Must hold one of the following active credentials:
- ARRT
- ARDMS
- NMTCB
- ARMRIT
Plus:
- Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
- No prior experience required—

- Perform high‑quality MRI exams and related procedures according to protocol
- Use clinical judgment to assess patient needs and deliver safe, compassionate care
- Follow all state, federal, and Orlando Health standards and regulations
- Verify patient identity, gather clinical history, and document accurately
- Position patient and equipment to obtain optimal imaging results
- Evaluate images for quality, proper annotation, and correct patient identification
- Apply strict MRI safety practices to protect patients, staff, and self
- Perform venipuncture and administer contrast using approved methods and power injectors
- Assist with emergency response related to contrast reactions or other clinical needs
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and competency with MRI equipment
- Participate in quality control tasks and departmental improvement initiatives
- Support training and orientation of student technologists and new staff
- Use all corporate radiology computer systems accurately
- Maintain reliable attendance and comply with Orlando Health policies
