Position OverviewThe CT Technologist provides exceptional patient care while performing diagnostic CT imaging and related procedures. This role ensures accurate visualization of anatomy for interpretation or intervention, while strictly adhering to radiation safety and quality standards.

- Provides age‑appropriate, condition‑aware care to ensure high‑quality imaging outcomes.
- Performs CT procedures in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Adheres to Orlando Health mission, values, quality metrics, and strategic priorities.
- Properly identifies patients, collects and documents clinical history, and ensures accurate exam data.
- Positions patients, equipment, and accessories while adjusting technical factors to obtain optimal image quality.
- Reviews images for technical accuracy, proper labeling, patient identification, and complete anatomical coverage.
- Applies radiation safety principles to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and the public.
- Performs quality control tasks in compliance with department and regulatory standards.
- Demonstrates proficiency in contrast administration, including power injector use.
- Performs venipuncture and evaluates IV access for contrast administration per provider orders.
- Responds appropriately to contrast reactions and other emergency situations.
- Utilizes standard precautions and PPE to prevent infection and cross‑contamination.
- Assists in training, onboarding, and supervision of students and new technologists.
- Effectively uses corporate radiology and imaging information systems.
- Maintains a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Demonstrates reliable attendance in accordance with organizational policies and ADA/FMLA guidelines.
- Complies with all Orlando Health education, policy, and competency requirements.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, OR
- Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Current AHA BLS / Healthcare Provider certification
- Valid Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license
- Must meet one of the following:
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certification
- NMTCB certification in CT
- NMTCB certification in CNMT and ARRT (CT)
- Minimum of two (2) years of CT experience, plus experience in one or more of the following:
- Advanced imaging (e.g., 3D Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Cardiac CT)
- Site preceptor/proctor experience for onboarding and cross‑training
- Dual‑modality imaging with current and routine performance in a secondary modality
