The Ultrasound Technician directly works with patients and Providers and operates machinery equipment that uses high-frequency sound waves to record images and scans of the body's internal organs. The Ultrasound Technician ensures images submitted to the Radiologist are optimal for reading and maintains utmost confidentiality.

• Prepare the exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct examinations.
• Recognize and record the appropriate anatomy and pathology using sonographic equipment.
• Care properly for sonography equipment and report equipment failure to Medical Center Administrator.
• Complete tech report based upon the scan results and completion.
• Alert appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that need immediate attention.
• Maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED Equivalent (required).
• Successful completion of Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Current active Florida state license (required).
• Excellent Interpersonal skills.
• Work independently or with minimal supervision and as part of a team
