Mid Florida Dermatology – Receptionist
Join our team at Mid Florida Dermatology as a Receptionist to provide high‑quality front‑line customer service and administrative support.
Responsibilities- Greet patients as they arrive
- Verify patient insurance eligibility prior to the appointment date
- Gather any necessary authorizations and referrals for patients
- Utilize electronic records system to update information
- Collect and create new or updated patient information
- Collect payment from patients at time of service
- Schedule appointments and follow up visits for new and existing patients
- Enter ICD‑10 procedure and diagnosis codes into electronic medical system
- Answer the office phone and respond as needed
- Return patient calls and perform callbacks to ensure patient satisfaction
- Balance money entered and collected daily
- Track petty cash as needed
- Respond to requests from patients and office staff as needed
- Perform administrative duties such as shredding, copying, printing, and faxing
- Perform housekeeping duties such as cleaning the waiting room and bathroom
- Attend annual OSHA meetings and abide by OSHA, HIPAA, and other relevant medical office regulations
- Good listening skills

- Ability to multitask
- Prior receptionist experience
- Prior medical environment experience
- Experience working with electronic medical records
- High School Diploma
- Ability to pass background check and drug test
