CT Technologist (Nights)
Join Nemours Children's Health in Orlando, FL as a CT Technologist (Nights). This overnight role runs Monday through Thursday (4 shifts, 10 hours each) with a $5,000 sign‑on bonus for external applicants and a salary range of $65,000.00–$85,000.00.
Responsibilities- Perform CT imaging studies and associated x‑ray procedures, including fluoroscopic procedures, under physician direction.
- Provide patient care, explain procedures, prepare patients, and maintain a comfortable, friendly environment.
- Operate a 256‑slice CT scanner and Windows workstation, ensuring proper function and maintenance.
- Screen patients for contraindications, obtain written consent, start IVs, inject contrast, and monitor for allergic reactions.
- Determine proper radiation exposure factors to minimize patient dose according to protocols.
- Maintain work habits consistent with hospital and department policies; report unsafe conditions.
- Operate hospital computer systems for data entry, order entry, and study completion.
- Assist in training new personnel, students, and physicians.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff; accept and provide feedback.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited radiology program.
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience.
- ARRT Registered required upon hire (CT preferred or must be obtained within 18 months).
- Florida State Radiology Technologist License required upon hire.
- American Heart Association BLS Certification required upon hire.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR and FUJI PACS systems.
