Make your nursing journey stronger with an externship that begins on June 1, 2026, featuring mandatory orientation, in-person education during week one, 3 12-hour shifts per week with a preceptor, and summer half‑day educational sessions (simulation, skills stations, lectures, and panel discussions).

• Expose yourself to various nursing departments to build confidence and competence heading into your senior year.
• Work directly with a registered nurse preceptor in a 1‑on‑1 setting to learn the day‑to‑day nurse experience at Orlando Health.
• Build confidence as a future nurse and gain real‑world clinical experience.
• Work on one assigned unit at a single hospital (unit assignment determined upon offer).
• Commit up to 36 hours per week on day or night shifts, following your preceptor’s schedule.
• Explore and apply for system‑wide nursing opportunities before you graduate.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Associate or Bachelor of Nursing program, expected to graduate Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.
• Availability for the SNE Program from June 1, 2026 to July 25, 2026—three 12‑hour shifts per week with minimal absences.
• Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
• Maintain current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preference given to students who wish to pursue a nursing career at Orlando Health after graduation.
