Vice President of Finance – Construction & Homebuilding

Our client, a growing and well‑established organization in the construction and homebuilding industry
, is seeking a strategic, decisive, and operationally engaged Vice President of Finance
. This leader will partner closely with division leadership and cross‑functional teams while overseeing finance, accounting, closing, and contracts operations.

• Lead development and execution of divisional financial and strategic goals
• Oversee accounting, controls, audit, closing, contracts, and administrative functions
• Ensure accuracy and insight across all financial reporting and analysis
• Direct preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts and budgets
• Ensure timely submission of all required financial and operational reporting
• Manage, mentor, and develop Finance and Closing/Contracts teams
• Maintain adherence to corporate financial policies and internal controls
• Support other functional areas with financial guidance and consultation
• Partner cross‑functionally with Sales, Construction, Purchasing, and Land
• Manage finance‑related systems, tools, and data workflows
• Ensure overall accuracy of financials for all entities within the division

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
• CPA or MBA (strongly preferred)
• 8+ years of finance/accounting experience in homebuilding or construction
• Deep understanding of cost accounting in the industry
• Advanced Excel and proficiency with financial systems
• Proven ability to lead, train, and develop high‑performing teams
• Strong business acumen, customer focus, and results orientation
