Atrium is partnering with a large retail and hospitality company with locations throughout the US. They are headquartered in the Orlando area and are currently looking to add a Senior Staff Accountant to their expanding team.
Salary/Hourly Rate$75k - $80k
Position OverviewThe Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, managing general ledger activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role will involve working closely with various departments to support financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive bank reconciliations for multiple accounts across various locations.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of all bank statements to the general ledger.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in bank reconciliations promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of all reconciliation activities and follow up on outstanding items.
- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions to streamline cash management processes.
- Manage financial operations for multiple business locations, ensuring consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Consolidate financial data from various locations and prepare comprehensive reports for management review.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bank reconciliations, cash management, and multi-location financial operations.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality industries.
- Experience with Great Plains or a similar ERP.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
