Corporate Controller

Gencor is looking for an experienced Corporate Controller who will be responsible for the overall management and direction of the accounting function and develop the financial policies and internal control procedures to insure the accurate and timely reporting of financial information. ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES PLEASE. NO RELOCATION. MUST LIVE IN THE ORLANDO AREA.

• Formulate and administer the financial policies and procedures to insure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Maintain Corporate Controller’s Manual to insure proper documentation of all accounting policies and procedures.
• Supervise the General Accounting Manager, Cost Accountant, and the Payroll Coordinator.
• Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of the monthly financial statements.
• Prepare monthly reporting package for executive management review.
• Coordinate all activities associated with the quarterly reviews and annual audit.
• Assist in the due diligence process of acquisition candidates.
• Responsible for integrating new subsidiaries into the Company’s monthly closing timetable and consolidated financial reporting program.
• Provide financial analyses and assistance to the other departments and divisions as required.
• Develop an environment that encourages the concept of continuous improvement in order to increase the productivity of the department.
• Assist in the training and professional development of accounting department personnel.
• All other tasks as assigned by the CFO, Division President, Executive Vice-President and Chairman of the Board.
• Communicate, support and implement company policies.
• Other duties as requested by CFO or Accounting Department.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or CMA a plus)
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Attention to Details
• 5+ years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity
