About the Opportunity:
The Cash Manager must possess in-depth Accounting/Finance knowledge, as well as strong interpersonal skills. The Cash Manager possesses excellent problem-solving skills and establishes processes and methodologies to manage cash flow efficiently. Attention to detail is important and the ability to multi-task is essential. The Cash Manager works well collaboratively to achieve company objectives.
Manage incoming and outgoing cash effectively on a daily basis.
Develop strategies to optimize the cash position of the company.
Manage cash functions, including cash positioning, cash reporting and forecasting, wire payments, fraud prevention, bank account setup, and maintenance.
Research and monitor bank accounts globally to improve funds-flow / cash flow, reduce bank fees, and build operational efficiencies.
Develop cash plan cash position through analysis of budgetary needs and financial reports.
Forecast daily cash position by utilizing cash receipts and disbursements.
Analyze the cash flow mechanism of the company and prepare monthly variance reports.
Manage intercompany cash, including intercompany lending, dividends, and capital injections.
Quarterly & monthly credit compliance, forecasting of financial covenants, letters of credit, and interest exposure.
Follow standard procedures to improve efficiency in cash collections, funds transfers, cash disbursements, month-end account closing activities, and inter-departmental reporting.
Create new systems to optimize cash inflow from different business activities and reduce the risk of credit losses.
Update accounting database for daily financial transactions.
Participate in currency, commodity, and interest rate risk management.
Liaise with financial institutions to address any account issues and queries.
Maintain security and confidentiality of financial records.
Develop professional knowledge on cash management processes and techniques.
QualificationsQualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
Ability to verify data input and correct errors.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Thorough working knowledge of the principles and practices of accounting
Bachelor degree from a four year college or university and combination of work experience and undergraduate education.
Minimum five years minimum in accounting/finance
