Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with a focus on tax to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the tax department by preparing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and assisting with tax planning strategies.

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Assist in tax research to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
• Support tax planning initiatives and help identify tax‑saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all tax‑related activities.
• Collaborate with team members to gather necessary financial information for tax filings.
• Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and assist in resolving any tax‑related issues.
• Support year‑end tax provision processes and assist with audits related to tax matters.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation that may impact clients.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in tax preparation or tax accounting.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
