Position: Tech II, Show Control Operator (Seasonal) - Universal Epic Universe

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the operation and execution of entertainment shows via Show Control. Use of Advanced Control Systems for Lighting, Audio, Video, Lasers and Special Effects.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the operation of the Technical Booth within the assigned venue or event including but not limited to the operation of lighting and audio in a live show situation using systems such as Medialon, Ovation, Alcorn McBride and others.
  • Responsible for the appropriate installation and maintenance of lighting, audio, video, ground rigging, staging set up.
  • Accountable for assisting in maintaining shows or event specific inventory of all Technical equipment & supplies.
  • Accountable to strictly adhere to all policies and procedures, as defined by the Entertainment Department, governing the safe operation of all technical equipment.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:

Operation of the Technical Booth within the assigned venue or event including but not limited to the operation of lighting and audio in a live show situation using systems such as Medialon, Ovation, Alcorn McBride and others.

EDUCATION:
  • High school degree or GED: is required.
  • Technical school: is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • 1-3 years experience using advanced control systems, likely within the theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience on advanced show control systems such as Medialon, Ovation, Alcorn McBride, Birket and Allen Bradley preferred.
  • Emergency Repairs, Parts Assembly, and networking preferred.
