Responsibilities
  • Join SP+ in the exciting world of sports and entertainment events of which you will be a part.
  • Work with a knowledgeable and caring team focused on helping you succeed; many teammates started in events venues.
  • Be a Special Events Attendant with a warm, customer-friendly approach and enjoy interacting with people.
  • Deliver customer service, assist customers, receive payments for parking services, and facilitate traffic flow through the gate.
  • Arrive at work on time, in neat and clean uniform, and be prepared to perform assigned duties.
  • Provide directions and be knowledgeable of surroundings to inform customers of locations in the city.
  • Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
  • Report accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility or Senior Manager.
  • Communicate debris, spills, or other hazards to the Facility or Senior Manager.
  • Learn each Special Event location and its requirements.
  • Count starting cash at the beginning of the shift and verify the starting total.
  • Collect cash and/or coupons and maintain security of cash; make change and issue receipts or tickets for transactions.
  • Verify shift transactions against money on hand and complete cashier shift reports.
Qualifications

What you need:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
  • Less than high school education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Availability to work special shifts; third shift and weekend availability may be required depending on location.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to present information in one-on-one situations and write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply/divide with 10s and 100s using units of American money.
  • Employees must maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.
  • Physical requirements:

    stand, walk, handle cash and equipment; may sit, climb or balance; may lift up to 25 pounds; work outside in varying weather conditions.
