Responsibilities What you’ll do- Treat each customer with respect and kindness, ensuring every interaction delivers on the SP+ Promise.
- Be at work every scheduled day, on time, in uniform, and ready to assist customers.
- Count the “bank” of revenue at the beginning of each shift.
- Collect cash and/or validations and maintain cash security.
- Make change and issue receipts or tickets for each transaction.
- Compute or re‑compute bills from tickets and calculate the cost of each customer’s parking service.
- Operate the cash register, display transaction costs, and announce pricing to customers.
- Give directions to city locations and assist customers in finding their destinations.
- Complete lost ticket forms when original tickets are missing.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly, seeking supervisor assistance when needed.
- Answer telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the booth and surrounding area.
- Check inventory of necessary supplies regularly.
- Verify the log of shift transactions against the revenue bank.
- Compile the bank of collected revenue for the day once a predetermined amount is reached.
- Record amounts received, cars in/out, and cars left (if applicable) in the shift report.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training, or an equivalent combination.
- Special shift requirements will vary; availability for 2nd, 3rd shift, and weekends may be required.
- Must have a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record if the role involves driving a company vehicle.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units, use whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; make change.
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; present information to customers and supervisors.
- Apply common sense to detailed written or oral instructions; handle problems with a few concrete variables.
Skills and Abilities
- Use a clock, calculator or credit card machine to handle transactions; maintain a pleasant demeanor on telephone and in person; respond effectively to customer problems.
- Regularly sit, use hands to handle objects, and reach; occasionally walk and sit. Close vision required.
$16.00 – $16.50 per hour
