• Design major components or significant portions of functional systems and advanced prototype products
• Support product development and assist in improving manufacturing processes
• Create preliminary layouts, sketches, and supporting design data for proposals
• Evaluate design factors including manufacturability, materials availability, equipment capabilities, and cost considerations
• Coordinate with cross functional teams involved in design and development
• Develop detailed assembly layouts and component drawings for devices, structures, and mechanical systems
• Review completed drawings and layouts to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with standards and specifications
• Identify design issues, omissions, or inconsistencies and recommend improvements to engineering teams

• 6 or more years of structural design experience
• 4 or more years of CATIA 3D design experience
• 4 or more years of 3DX data management experience
• 4 or more years of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) experience
• 4 or more years of part tolerancing experience
• Experience with primary and secondary structures, component layout, tolerance studies, ASME Y14.5 GTOL, and trade studies
• Military connected talent encouraged to apply.
