Position: Systems Engineer with Security Clearance

* Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to support a DoD training and simluation program based in Orlando, Florida . This position is a full-time , fully onsite role. This position is critical in enabling enterprise engineering, integration, testing, and validation activities across complex systems and architectures. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting system-of-systems engineering, enterprise integrations, performance instrumentation, and test activities to ensure solutions meet mission, technical, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Analyze enterprise requirements, operational needs, and integration dependencies to support large-scale transformation initiatives.
* Support system-of-systems architecture development, enterprise integration planning, and capability alignment across platforms, applications, data environments, and stakeholders.
* Plan, develop, and execute test strategies and test plans for integrated enterprise solutions to validate functional, performance, interoperability, and scalability requirements.
* Conduct interface testing, data flow validation, performance testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
* Define instrumentation requirements, metrics, and data collection methods to evaluate system performance and integration outcomes.
* Collect, analyze, and interpret performance data to support decision-making, readiness assessments, and technical reviews.
* Identify integration risks, engineering issues, system gaps, and areas for improvement; provide technical recommendations that enhance enterprise performance, efficiency, and reliability.
* Document engineering analyses, test results, and validation findings with clarity and accuracy.
* Collaborate with program managers, enterprise architects, developers, cybersecurity teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of enterprise transformation initiatives. Requirements:
* 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, system integration, test engineering, instrumentation engineering, or enterprise transformation within a DoD, Federal, or large enterprise environment
* Demonstrated experience with:
* Enterprise systems integration and system-of-systems engineering
* Test planning, execution, and validation for integrated enterprise solutions
* Metrics definition, instrumentation, and performance analysis
* Interface testing, data flow validation, and interoperability assessments
* Technical documentation and engineering analysis
* Active Secret Clearance (required) Nice to Have:
* Experience supporting enterprise transformation, digital modernization, or large-scale integration programs
* Familiarity with:
* Enterprise architecture frameworks
* Agile or iterative development environments
* Data analytics and performance measurement tools
* DoD or Federal enterprise IT initiatives
* Certifications or training in:
* Systems Engineering
* Test & Evaluation
* Agile, Dev Sec Ops , or Enterprise Architecture Compensation to include:
Salary Range: $100,000 - $126,000 depending on experience Full Benefits:
