* Job Description:

**** Overview:
** This position leads and manages land surveying projects as well as the Land Survey staff.
** Responsibilities
* ** Supervise, coordinate, and review activities and deliverables of field and office staff assigned to various land surveying projects.
* Work closely with engineering staff and clients.
* Provide guidance and direction to the Survey Technicians.
* Manages and schedules individual projects.
* Performs or delegates tasks as assigned by the Survey Department Manager or Survey Project Manager.
* Performs calculations and prepares field packages.
* Processes acquired field data into a neat and accurate plat of survey and/or Metes and Bounds description.
* Responsible for quality control of drawings and legal descriptions prepared by others.
* Resolves boundary line issues.
* Signs and seals completed drawings, legal descriptions, and surveyor’s reports.
** Qualifications
* ** Professional Surveyor & Mapper (PSM or PLS).
* 0-4 years as a PLS.
* Must have experience with ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys, wetland surveys, final plat and as-built surveys, and construction staking.
* Must have strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with project-related budget management and invoicing.
* Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.

- Ability to handle complex issues/problems.
* Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.

- Effective time management and organizational skills.
* Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees in the organization, both verbally and written.
* Must be dependable and reliable.
* Must have drafting experience and a team-oriented approach to helping complete final drafting products
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D,  is a plus.
