Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Systems Engineer to support the full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of complex aircraft simulator systems. This role focuses on system architecture, integration, requirements management, verification, and networked simulator environments.

7 – 30 Years - Compensation: USD 140,000 – 175,000

Up to 15% Onsite Travel
The Systems Engineer will work closely with hardware, software, controls, and process engineering teams to ensure reliable design, integration, testing, and delivery of high-fidelity flight and DoF simulation systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead system development across planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance phases
- Define simulator subsystems and system integration strategies
- Develop system diagrams, architectures, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
- Maintain system architecture using tools such as CAMEO or similar MBSE platforms
- Apply SysML and system modeling techniques to analyze system behavior and interactions
- Conduct requirements analysis for functional and non-functional system requirements
- Identify system integration requirements and data exchange needs
- Collaborate with discipline engineers, process engineers, and software developers
- Assess hardware assembly requirements and supporting documentation
- Identify technical risks and define mitigation strategies
- Participate in test planning, verification, and validation activities
- Define system interfaces with control systems, models, and data sources
- Design and manage network architecture across simulator systems and server racks
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices including routers and switches
- Perform system maintenance, patching, re-racking, and re-cabling as designs evolve
- Support successful build, test, and delivery of multi-DoF simulator systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in systems engineering within simulation, aerospace, or control systems
- Hands‑on experience with MBSE and SysML
- Proficiency with CAMEO or similar system architecture tools
- Strong experience defining system architectures, ICDs, and requirements specifications
- Experience with system integration, verification, and validation
- Understanding of control systems principles
- Experience with risk management processes
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Direct experience with design, build, test, and delivery of DoF simulators
- US Citizenship required
- Experience with aircraft systems, avionics, or flight simulators
- Knowledge of aerospace quality systems such as ISO 9001
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or C++
- Exposure to test planning and execution for complex systems
- Experience with VR, AR, or MR simulation environments
- Experience integrating simulation image generators
- Network engineering certifications
- Experience working in highly regulated aerospace environments
