Description
You will be the Machine Shop Quality Engineer Senior for the Machining Operations Center. Our team is responsible for delivering high-quality machined components and assemblies that meet stringent aerospace standards.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Machine Shop Quality Engineer Senior you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining quality excellence across our machining operations.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and review quality standards, work instructions, and inspection procedures for manufactured and procured parts.
- Lead Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards to drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Perform audits and assessments to ensure compliance with ISO-9001 / AS9100 and engineering specifications.
- Interface with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality-related issues.
- Implement new inspection processes and automation methods to improve efficiency.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:- STEM Degree at a Bachelor level or above or equivalent experience/combined education
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection of manufactured products (machined components and assemblies)
- In-depth understanding of GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5-2009) and application
- Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues
- Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications
Skills:
- STEM Degree at a Bachelor level or above preferred
- CMM programming experience
- Experience with automated processes and robotic technologies
- Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
- Special Process Engineering experience
- SAP Application experience
- Experience with use of inspection gauges and measuring equipment
- Experience with material review board requirements, evaluating risk and impact to overall system requirements
- Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
