Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
- Considered an emerging authority.
- Past Experience In Any Of The Following Areas:
Make/Buy/BOM Planning, Supply Chain, or equivalent, or experience in one area with an understanding of the other two. - Proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs; including SAP, Microsoft office, and Apriso, or equivalent.
- Very good organization and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills.
- Possess knowledge of lean manufacturing and/or supply chain management.
- Knowledge of Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS).
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance; therefore selected candidate must be a US Citizen.
Job Description
This position is for a Demand Planner on the Production Planning & Control team. The Demand Planner is responsible for creating and maintaining all bills of material and material master records for the program utilizing the engineering systems and MRP systems; working cross‑functionally with Engineering and the Change Board Representative to coordinate accurate timing in the schedule for changes; performing audits and ensuring lot‑size and lead‑time accuracy when inputting engineering changes to the bills of material;
loading demand and ensuring the schedule meets operations requirements.
- Create and maintain all bills of material (BOM) and material master records for the program.
- Utilize engineering systems and MRP tools to load demand and generate accurate schedules.
- Work closely with Engineering and the Change Board Representative to coordinate timing of engineering changes.
- Perform audits to verify lot‑size and lead‑time accuracy when updating BOMs.
- Ensure the production schedule aligns with operations requirements and supports on‑time delivery.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve discrepancies and drive continuous improvement.

- Windchill and MPMLink experience.
- Understanding of material attributes and bill of material effectivity planning.
- Previous working experience with engineering drawing and parts lists.
- Inventory Control and material handling knowledge, including familiarity with material requirements and Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping areas of responsibility.
