A well-established mechanical contractor in Cocoa, FL is seeking an experienced Chief Mechanical Estimator to lead all mechanical estimating and preconstruction operations. This confidential role offers the chance to drive bid strategy, mentor an estimating team, and influence overall company growth. • Lead and manage the mechanical estimating department.
• Develop detailed cost estimates and takeoffs for HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing scopes.
• Interpret drawings, specs, and subcontractor proposals to build accurate bid packages.
• Guide bid strategy, project qualification, and pricing decisions.
• Strengthen relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and partners.
• Enhance estimating tools, cost databases, and internal processes.
• Collaborate with leadership and operations to ensure smooth handoff to project teams.

• 7+ years of mechanical estimating experience (HVAC, mechanical, or plumbing).
• Proven leadership or mentorship experience within an estimating team.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction practices, and cost structures.
• Proficiency with tools such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Pro Est, or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines under pressure.

• Strong pipeline of commercial, industrial, and institutional work.
• Competitive compensation range: $100K–$150K
