Job Description You will be the Program Manufacturing Engineer supporting Air Dominance Operations. Our team is responsible for creating and improving manufacturing strategies for complex missile assemblies, and we play a crucial role in developing and implementing solutions for technical and organizational challenges. What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for driving improvement initiatives that support Air Dominance Production Operations.
You will be tasked with improving the overall process of the build using complex, cutting edge technologies and automation.
* Supporting and participating in the strategy and execution of cost reduction initiatives across LM Sites and supply base.
* Support design, fabrication, assembly, validation, and deployment of manufacturing tools and electromechanical systems that includes automated components such as robots, conveyors, vision systems and programmable controllers.
* Influencing design for manufacturability and ensuring producibility of complex electro-mechanical systems.
* Capital planning and execution, vendor/integrator engagement, and project management activities to deploy automated solutions at multiple sites across MFC.
* Approximately 10% travel may be required to facilitate projects within LM sites and supply base. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM Related Discipline
• Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
• Experience working within cross-functional groups, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with various teams and stakeholders
• Technical knowledge and experiences in the areas of defensive and aerospace manufacturing, process development and production testing.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance, therefore must be a US Citizen
Desired
Skills:
• At least 1+ year prior experience in a manufacturing role directly supporting the shop floor.
• Working knowledge of Electro-Mechanical assembly processes.
• Knowledge of Digital Transformation and Automation Processes in a Manufacturing Assembly Environment.
• Experience facilitating design reviews with cross-functional departments and stakeholders, using CAD, PowerPoint, and other visualization tools
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma manufacturing, concepts, and techniques
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years
