Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Modeling & Simulation Engineer

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) seeks a GNC Modeling & Simulation Engineer to develop real‑time, closed‑loop Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HWIL) capabilities. The role involves systems architecture, detailed design and integration of simulation models and hardware for multiple HWIL capabilities.

The HWIL GNC Engineer will define HWIL architecture, develop Integrated Flight Simulation (IFS) real‑time models, and design interfaces to HWIL hardware. Responsibilities include the design, development and testing of air vehicle software, firmware and hardware, integration of stimulation equipment, debugging, test, verification and validation of the system and subsystems.

• Development and integration of Real‑Time Integrated Flight Simulation (IFS) with test equipment and flight‑representative hardware
• Implementation of models in real‑time IFS
• HWIL real‑time architecture development
• Hardware test equipment integration
• Requirements & MBSE architecture development

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent education/experience
• Real‑time HWIL simulation experience
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Proficiency in C, C++, C#, MATLAB
• Experience with Requirements Verification and Validation (V&V) process
• Active Secret security clearance, current 5‑year investigation

• Python, Verilog, VHDL programming
• Root‑cause analysis; troubleshooting HW, SW & firmware issues
• Experience as an engineer on multidisciplinary teams
• Configuration management with Git
• CI/CD pipelines
• Missile 6‑DOF simulation design and analysis, HWIL design and simulation analysis
• Pre‑flight system performance assessment and post‑flight verification analyses

This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen. Clearance level:
Secret.

4×10‑hour days, 3 days off per week.
