Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in a related engineering discipline—such as mechanical, electrical, aerospace, materials, manufacturing, or industrial engineering—or an equivalent STEM degree.
- Professional experience with Mechanical and/or Electrical Systems.
- Professional experience with product manufacturability and design for cost for development programs (R&D, IRAD, or CRAD).
- Active Top Secret Security clearance.
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly.
- Experience with manufacturing automation applications.
- Experience in capacity & capital planning.
- Understanding and wide application of assembly and test methods.
- Statement of work and proposal development experience.
- Experience with Make-Buy generation and strategy.
- Experience in the design of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining and material handling.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Readiness Level and/or Manufacturing Readiness Assessment (MRL/MRA 1-8).
As the Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager you will lead a team of manufacturing engineers and deliver results that meet customer requirements. You will bring deep knowledge of product development, manufacturing technical skills, and experience in assembly, test, integration, automation development, and complex electrical, mechanical, and electro‑optical processes. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading a team of manufacturing engineers to deliver results that meet customer requirements.
- Developing and implementing manufacturing engineering solutions.
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to achieve program objectives.
- Assigning tasks and reviewing work of the manufacturing engineering team.
- Demonstrating a hands‑on approach to hardware and manufacturing floor processes.

Part‑time Remote Telework – the employee selected for this position will work part of their schedule remotely and part at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
