Traffic Engineer

Dewberry is currently seeking an ITS / Traffic Engineer to support our growing Transportation design practice in Orlando, FL. • Serve as Engineer‑of‑Record, Project Engineer, or Task Lead for various ITS, lighting, signals, and signing & pavement marking sub‑disciplines.
• Perform QC reviews of design analyses and plans prepared by staff and other consultants.
• Act as owner’s representative on General Engineering Consultant contracts, performing ITS/traffic design tasks and engineering analyses.
• Collaborate with other transportation discipline leads and project managers.
• Provide post‑design services including shop drawing reviews, responding to RFIs, and developing plan revisions during project construction.
• Produce plans and construction specifications.
• Build strong working relationships with transportation clients across Florida.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant ITS/Traffic design experience, preferably with FDOT.
• Florida Professional Engineering (PE) license, or ability to obtain it within 6 months.
• Proficiency in Micro Station/Open Roads Designer.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong desire to be a key contributor to a high‑performing team.
