Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Controls is seeking a full‑time Materials and Processes Engineer to support in Orlando, FL. In role you will be responsible for developing and optimizing materials for use in structures, systems, and subsystems on major production programs, driving innovation in the aerospace industry.
What You Will Be Doing- Developing and optimizing materials and surface treatment solutions for engineering applications.
- Performing failure analyses, life‑prediction modeling, and material property development to support reliability goals.
- Authoring clear technical documentation and contributing data
Rap to design reviews and customer deliverables. - Collaborating with cross‑functional teams—including product development, analysis groups, and production—to translate requirements into manufacturable solutions.
- Supporting test planning, execution, and results interpretation to validate material performance.
- Mentoring junior engineers and sharing best practices across the organization.

Basic Qualifications- Bachelorுறை degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (preferably in Material Science or Materials Engineering) or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Familiarity and a strong background in material manufacturing processes, material testing processes and procedures.
- Ability to travel and willingness to work off‑site as needed for assignments.
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Engineering/Science.
- Experience with Materials and Processes associated with electronics assemblies and components.
- Experience working with full assemblies as well as subassemblies, down to component level.
- Experience supporting failure review boards and working toward corrective action.
- Familiarity with programs at MFC or experience working with US Government DOD customers.
- Familiarity with evaluating and developing material specifications.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, machine drawings, 2‑D drawings, CAD drawings and material callouts / material processing notes.
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen to be considered. Clearance level:
Secret.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. Schedules range from standard 40‑hour five‑day weeks to condensed schedules providing employees additional time away from the office, in addition to paid time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10‑hour day, 3 days off per week.
