WSP is currently initiating a search for a BRT Project Engineer for our Fort Lauderdale, FL, Orlando, FL, Miami, FL offices with South Florida preferred
.
- Deliver transit design projects for key regional partners.
- Act as a designer on Roadway projects at all phases, from concept to construction.
- Provide technical support and Project Management on small to medium projects or tasks with opportunity to grow, including contract negotiation and managing a scope, schedule, and budget.
- Support larger projects as a Deputy Project Manager, Task Manager, Segment Manager or discipline expert.
- Aid local offices pursuing or delivering transit projects with technical expertise, including opportunities to travel.
- Demonstrate your skills to the industry through conference presentations and paper publication.
- Assist in growing the business by building relationships, writing marketing proposals and providing other business development support.
- Management of technical staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline.
- P.E. License with 7 to 10 years of experience in Roadway projects or equivalent.
- Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) experience a plus.
- Experience working with transit agencies and transportation department.
- Direct experience with FDOT a plus.
- Demonstrated organizational and communications skills.
- Master’s Degree in Engineering.
- 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR ) preferred.
- Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired.
