Position: Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project Engineer

, which specializes in the planning and design of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects in local communities across the nation. WSP is currently initiating a search for a BRT Project Engineer for our Fort Lauderdale, FL, Orlando, FL, Miami, FL offices with South Florida preferred
.

Your Impact
  • Deliver transit design projects for key regional partners.
  • Act as a designer on Roadway projects at all phases, from concept to construction.
  • Provide technical support and Project Management on small to medium projects or tasks with opportunity to grow, including contract negotiation and managing a scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Support larger projects as a Deputy Project Manager, Task Manager, Segment Manager or discipline expert.
  • Aid local offices pursuing or delivering transit projects with technical expertise, including opportunities to travel.
  • Demonstrate your skills to the industry through conference presentations and paper publication.
  • Assist in growing the business by building relationships, writing marketing proposals and providing other business development support.
  • Management of technical staff.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline.
  • P.E. License with 7 to 10 years of experience in Roadway projects or equivalent.
    • Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) experience a plus.
  • Experience working with transit agencies and transportation department.
    • Direct experience with FDOT a plus.
  • Demonstrated organizational and communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering.
  • 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR ) preferred.
  • Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired.
