Réalis is seeking a Structures Design Leader (Moving I‑4 Forward) to join our team within the FDOT Corridors Program Office (CPO) located in Celebration, FL
.
This embedded position reports to the office five days per week and will assist the Moving I‑4 Forward program, one of the highest‑profile projects in the state. The role works with a team of engineers at the CPO, FDOT, and others statewide to deliver the program.
Your role- Provide professional engineering consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of diverse projects.
- Develop and evaluate engineering reports, plans, and specification criteria.
- Coordinate with a diversified project team and manage client communication, proposals, marketing, presentations, and other discipline‑related activities.
- Prepare specifications, scaled drawings, and proposals and ensure finished plans, specifications, and approval of materials and construction.
- Meet with clients to define objectives and requirements for executing desired scope.
- Review junior staff's work for technical accuracy and provide guidance. Perform quality control reviews, field reviews, and ongoing construction observations.
- Review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules; serve as team expert and/or project lead; lead discipline or small multidisciplinary teams; manage a small team of direct reports.
- Degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program plus a minimum of fifteen years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional engineer in good standing.
- Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
- Proficient in production software and construction document production.
- Proven ability to address challenging or potentially controversial issues in a sound professional and business‑like manner.
- Experience working on major projects or multiple moderate‑size projects, providing technical guidance to junior staff.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and stakeholders.

CompensationExpected compensation range is between $150,000‑$175,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
