A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

This position is a technical field advisor. The advisor helps the customer to build a power plant. This includes offering advice to get the supplied equipment working and helping to identify drawings and protocols.

• Serve as a technical advisor to customers during gas turbine commissioning activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
• Support construction and commissioning teams by reviewing, interpreting, and utilizing technical manuals, drawings, and specifications.
• Identify, document, and report technical issues, risks, or inadequacies, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive resolution.
• Provide on-site guidance to ensure commissioning activities align with project requirements, procedures, and safety standards.
• Communicate progress, findings, and recommendations clearly to internal teams and customer representatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in gas turbine commissioning or a closely related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in common office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented, field-based environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. (Internal transfers may be considered for current Siemens Energy employees with valid visa sponsorship.)
