*** Our Unmanned Aircraft System Operator (Pilot) position is located in Florida.

As a member of the Montrose Environmental Solutions team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
* Operate small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) for aerial surveys mapping wildlife habitat and wildlife activity.
* Maintain aerial and support equipment in accordance with FAA regulations and Advisory Circulars.
* Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements including the preparation of permits for activity within secure and controlled space,
* Follow US Fish and Wildlife Service and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission guidelines when surveying protected wildlife.
* Follow established industry safety guidelines and company policies while operating sUAS.
* Provide high-quality aerial imagery for analysis and reporting.
* Collaborate with project managers and other team members to support project needs.
* Maintain detailed records of drone operations, including flight logs and maintenance schedules.
* Troubleshoot technical issues with sUAS equipment as needed.
* Stay current with advancements in sUAS technology and industry best practices.

** YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
** To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Requirements
* Hold a valid certificate in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (Part 107).
* Proven experience as a drone operator, preferably in the telecommunications sector.
* Proficiency in sUAS operation, including flight planning and data collection.
* Familiarity with sUAS mapping and flight automation software.
* Previous experience coordinating  and communicating with  Air Traffic Control (ATC) during operations.
* Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain sUAS and support equipment effectively.
* Strong communication skills in English; ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, or independently as needed.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* High level of technical adaptability with experience using numerous software applications and technology platforms.
