The Orlando Traffic Design Team Lead will receive support from ELEMENT’s robust and talented Tampa Traffic Team as ELEMENT steadily and strategically grows operations in Orlando. At ELEMENT, recruiting and marketing are team efforts, and the Traffic Design Team Lead will be supported by the entire ELEMENT team to ensure the success of this new department.

• Serve as the leader of the Orlando Traffic Design Team
• Direct and assist traffic analyses using current best practices with a focus on Vision Zero principles and the Safe System approach
• Direct and assist the production of signing, pavement marking, and signal plans in accordance with FDOT standards
• Conduct field reviews
• Perform quality control reviews
• Effectively communicate and coordinate with clients and colleagues
• Train and mentor junior team members
• Support marketing pursuits and business development efforts
• Assist with recruiting efforts for the Orlando office and ELEMENT Traffic Team
• Engage the Orlando Traffic Design Team to support retention and employee satisfaction

• Professional Engineer (PE) registered in Florida
• At least 5 years of post‑registration experience
• Familiarity with the current FDOT Manuals and traffic guidelines
• Excellent technical, written, and oral communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of Micro Station and/or ORD
• Commitment to safety
• Local agency experience is a plus
