FPGA Design Engineer – Lockheed Martin
Join us as an FPGA Design Engineer in Orlando, Florida. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions using Field‑Programmable Gate Arrays to create innovative systems that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of complex FPGA‑based architecture, including specification, design, verification, and implementation.
- Develop trade studies to select an FPGA solution optimized for device utilization, power, and thermal requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—software, hardware, and systems engineering—to develop an optimal architecture and define FPGA requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers.
- Lead the team through the Design Architecture development process.
We’re looking for a talented, detail‑oriented FPGA engineer with a strong background in FPGA design, development, and implementation. Ideal candidates:
- Experience with AMD/Xilinx FPGAs, UVM, and Git Lab (plus any other FPGA vendors such as Altera or Microchip).
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of software programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex digital systems.
- Knowledge of UVM and experience with UVM‑based verification methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with the MFC DAR process.
- Ability to work on the required site with a secret clearance; must be a U.S. citizen.
